ROTATING/CHANGING
THE CUTTERS
WARNING:
To avoid serious
personal injury, always remove the battery
pack from the tool before undertaking any
assembly, adjustments or cutter changes.
The upper and lower cutters are identical;
each has four cutting edges. The cutters can
be interchanged or rotated.
When the cutting performance is unsatis-
factory, rotate each cutter 90°or replace it.
To rotate a cutter, loosen the attachment
screw of the cutter, rotate the cutter 90°and
tighten the screw.
To replace the cutter, remove the attachment
screw from the cutter, remove the old cutter,
position the new cutter as shown inprovided
(Fig. 1). thread the screw into the cutter and
securely tighten the screw with the 3mm hex
wrench provided.
WARNING:
Ensure that the lower
cutter rests against the adjustment screw.

The cutter clearance “a” (Fig. 2) has been
adjusted at the factory to 0.004” and, under
normal use, does not need to be adjusted.

never be connected to the power source
when you are assembling parts, making

use. Disconnecting the tool will prevent
accidental starting, which could cause
serious personal injury.

UNPACKING
1. This product has been shipped
completely assembled.
2. Carefully remove the tool and any
accessories from the box. Make sure
that all items listed in the packing list
are included.
3. Inspect the tool carefully to make sure
that no breakage or damage occurred
during shipping.
4. Do not discard the packing material
until you have carefully inspected and
satisfactorily operated the tool.
